Samsö
On the Isle of Samso the inhabitants know how to protect themselves from the wind that has blown across their land for longer than anybody can remember. And, thanks to its windmills this region of Denmark is self-sufficient in energy.
“I grew up being used to save water, save energy, save, save! To save money. So I don’t think that has been a change for me but I think I’m much more aware of the connections because you’re not alone in this and I think that I’m so much more sure that it’s not a question of being leftish or socialist or hippy or nothing like it, it’s a very very practical question.”
